Morin Heights Elementary School Drama Club
We are very excited that during our 2017-2018 season, we collaborated with Morin Heights Elementary School to provide a series of after school theatre-related workshops for students in Grades 3-6. Initiated by teacher Lee-Ann Mascis, our Artistic Director Corina Lupu provided support to Lee-Ann and some teachers in order to introduce students to the adventure of theatre! We look forward to building upon this project in the future.
Theatre Morin Heights Memorial Bursary
The Theatre Morin Heights Memorial Bursary was originally created in the memory of Mr. Lorne Barratt, member of Theatre Morin Heights and resident of Lake Sir John in Lachute. Mr. Barratt enjoyed donating his time to both Lakeshore Players Dorval and Theatre Morin Heights in a variety of onstage and behind-the-scenes roles. This $200 bursary is awarded to a graduating Laurentian Regional High School student who will be pursuing CEGEP studies in a theatre-related program. There is one bursary per graduating class per year. Donations toward this bursary are always accepted.
Interested applicants are invited to submit their applications prior to May 30th of any given year including the following:
- Confirmation of approval/application into a theatre-related CEGEP program.
- A brief letter explaining what theatre means to them.
- A letter of reference from their Drama teacher.
Carolynn Roberts and Libby Barratt proudly present the first Theatre Morin Heights Memorial Bursary Award to a student of Laurentian Regional High School in memory of Lorne Barratt.
Donations to this program are gratefully accepted
